As I wrote in one of my Blog that in today’s fast-moving life, I truly feel that every person should have something in their routine that is deeply connected to their heart. Something that gives peace, comfort, motivation, and emotional healing. We all get tired mentally sometimes — from responsibilities, emotions, work pressure, expectations, or simply from life itself. And during those moments, small things often become our biggest support system.
For me, that support system has always been music.
Listening to songs is not just a hobby for me; it is something much deeper than that. Music has been a constant companion in every phase of my life. Whether I am happy, emotional, stressed, upset, overthinking, or simply sitting quietly doing nothing, music somehow always understands my mood better than words.
The beautiful thing about music is that it connects differently with every individual. Some people connect with beats, some with melodies, and some with lyrics.
For me, lyrics hold a very special place. I strongly believe that lyrics are deeply personal because every person relates to different words depending on their emotions, personality, experiences, and situations in life.
Sometimes, a song says exactly what our heart is feeling when we ourselves cannot express it properly.
That is the magic of music.
From my childhood till today, I have shared a very strong bond with songs. I have always been a huge Bollywood music lover, and honestly, Bollywood songs carry so many emotions within them — love, hope, heartbreak, motivation, memories, peace, and happiness. Every mood has a song, and every song carries a different world within itself.
One more beautiful thing about my connection with music is that it has supported me not only emotionally but also throughout my studies and learning journey. From childhood itself, I always loved listening to music while studying practical subjects. During my 10th standard, 12th standard, and even during my Chartered Accountancy course preparation, music became my silent study partner.
I still remember how my friends used to get surprised and ask me, “How can you listen to songs and study or practice at the same time?” But for me, music never distracted me — instead, it helped me focus better. While solving accounts, practicing numerical questions, or studying maths, listening to music felt almost meditative. It made long study hours feel lighter, calmer, and more enjoyable.
Somehow, music always balanced my mind and helped me stay connected with my work without feeling mentally exhausted.
Looking back now, I truly feel that music was not just entertainment for me during those years — it was like a form of therapy and support system that stayed beside me during stressful academic phases as well.
And maybe that is why even today, I strongly believe that music is truly a kind of medicine for the soul and mind.
Whenever life feels overwhelming, music becomes my escape. Just putting on my favorite playlist instantly changes my mood and energy. It feels as if songs quietly heal the mind without asking any questions. Sometimes we do not need advice, conversations, or explanations — we simply need music.
And I think that is why music is beautiful.
It allows us to feel deeply, heal slowly, and reconnect with ourselves again.
In a world where everyone is constantly rushing, I genuinely feel people should spend a little time doing what truly makes their heart feel light and peaceful. For some it may be painting, dancing, writing, travelling, cooking, or reading. For me, it will always be music.
Because music is not just sound for me.
It is therapy.
It is comfort.
It is emotion.
It is healing.
It is home.
And no matter what phase of life I am in, listening to songs will always remain my cup of tea.
